Keep Your Bra Straps From Showing With These Nifty Products

We women all have the problem of our bra straps deciding to show themselves at inopportune times, usually on laundry day when we’re wearing a boring, dingy beige bra. Luckily, there are products on the market to help us with this calamity.

L-Straps

L-Straps are the creme-de-la-creme of bra straps. Made with beautiful Swarovski crystal, these uber-glamorous straps simply replace existing bra straps. Just be sure to remove them before throwing your bra in the laundry. Hey, if they’re going to show, they may as well be gorgeous! You can view the collection at lstraps.com and buy them at Yoobies.com as well as fine lingerie boutiques across the nation.

Clearly Gone: disappearing bra straps

Clearly Gone is far from the glamour of L-straps, but they still have their place. These are clear bra straps that replace existing straps; they have a matte finish, so they don’t shine and attract even more attention. One pair is $4.95 at SolutionsThatStick.com

Strap Trap: racerback bra clips

Strap Trap is the best way to keep bra straps from slipping. It hooks both straps together and converts any bra into a racerback (extremely useful if your bra doesn’t have detachable straps), keeping the straps far and away from the edges of shoulders, so they can’t slip down. They even add a little perk along the way. Strap Trap comes in a black, white and clear 3-pack for $7.95 at SolutionsThatStick.com

Quick Fix Sticks is great for thin-strapped tops whose straps don’t jive with yours. Just stick them together and no matter where the straps go, at least they are united. You can even stick the straps to your shoulder so they don’t slip down. It doesn’t add perk or glamour, but it saves the hassle of boosting your straps back up all day, and has many other useful applications, like emergency hemming and closing gaps between buttons. 48 strips are $7.95.

Why You Should Keep Wardrobe Tape On Hand

There are many reasons to keep wardrobe tape on hand, not the least of which is avoiding a wardrobe malfunction like the ones in this Celebslam gallery. You can also use wardrobe tape to keep your shirt form gaping, keep your straps from slipping, and perform emergency hemming. Best of all, a sheet of Quick Fix Sticks is about the size of a dollar bill, so you can keep it in your wallet for emergencies.

What Causes Excessive Gas?

Last Year for the Super Bowl, we gave you healthy and delicious recipes to make for your Super Bowl party. They were all things that had the potential to cause excessive gas, but we weren’t too worried about it because we posed Subtle Butt: disposable gas neutralizers, as a solution.

This year, instead of more recipes, we’re going to talk about excessive gas and what causes it.

First, if you’re worried about it, you may want to determine if your gas is indeed excessive. It might sound funny to keep a flatulence journal, but what might seem excessive to you could be normal- it’s not uncommon to pass gas 14 times per day. Now just because it’s normal doesn’t mean it pleasant. If you want to stop cropdusting your poor unsuspecting cubicle neighbor, by all means get some Subtle Butt on!

Now that we’ve gotten this far, let’s talk about the biggest cause of excessive gas: food sensitivities. When your body can’t digest something, it just goes right through your digestive system and causes gas. The most common culprits are wheat and soy. Lots of people think that soy makes people gassy. Actually, it makes about 30% of people gassy because they eat it not realizing that their body isn’t digesting the protein. It’s the same thing with wheat- try a two weeks without it and see if you feel better. Don’t forget to read ingredients lists; wheat and soy both tend to sneak into foods. (Take a look at a Twizzlers or Red Vines label next time. You’ll be surprised.)

But wheat and soy aren’t the only things. Your excessive gas could be caused by almost any food. Even black pepper (how random and unfortunate is that?). Luckily, when you know what your trigger foods are, it’s easier to reduce excessive gas. But it’s not completely foolproof- for those times, Subtle Butt will be there.

How to Prevent Blisters on Feet

Today we’re talking about something unpleasant. Blisters on feet. They’re painful, and they’re not pretty. But, they are preventable.

First, let’s learn how blisters are made. We’ve all gotten them from one thing or another, usually ill-fitting shoes. Most commonly, at least for me, the cutest shoes in my closet and the ones which I absolutely have to wear to an event, but haven’t broken in yet.

Blisters are actually caused by friction forming tears in different layers of skin. Plasma then leaks between the layers and forms a bubble which cushions the skin from further tearing so that it can heal. Unless you keep the shoes on and the entire blister gets torn off.

To keep blisters from forming, you need to create a barrier that prevents friction. There are a couple ways to do this. You can try putting powder in your shoes, but it will only work up to a point- eventually, the powder will absorb liquid and create more friction. You can also wear socks. This helps immensely if you’re out running, but what about shoes you can’t wear socks with- like dress shoes or flip flops or strappy sandals? Some of us have tried using band-aids, but the pesky thick gauze layer bunches up and ruins everything.

Well of course I’m writing this because we have a solution- Wundercover: tattoo & skin shields. You just peel off a strip of our special medical tape, stick it directly to the skin, and go about your day. It’s perforated for easy selection of the size you need, and won’t peel off until you want it to. It’s super-thin, yet still prevents the friction that causes blisters on feet. And best of all, the chameleon fabric blends in really well with a wide range of skin tones.

I think you should give it a try, and I know you do too! Get Wundercover for just $8.95 here at SolutionsThatStick.com
